Congratulations girls; it's international womens day! Celebrate your femininity and be proud of your gender...
IT'S SUNDAY, IT'S INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY and we deserve to celebrate. Congratulations to all the sassy independent beautiful women out there for being you and being blessed a woman. Women and womens' rights have (thankfully) come a looooong way but the race for equality is far from over and if you don't consider yourself a feminist in 2015 then please explain to me why on earth not. Queen B defines a feminist as "a person who believes in the social, political and economical equality of sexes" and i'm proud to support the movement.
I have a HUGE amount of respect for celebrities who aren't afraid to out themselves as Feminists, Emma Watson, ambassador for UN Women Goodwill, and her #HeForShe campaign have taken social media and Hollywood by storm. It's exciting! It seems more and more celebs are proud to label themselves as feminists and advocates for gender equality.
Of course, Sexism is a huge mountain that us women still need to overcome but independent ladies like Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj are showing us that men aren't a necessity and if anybody comes to us with a sexist attitude, you just gotta shut them down *hair flick*
So HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY to men and women alike! Girls, you were blessed a woman so go out and celebrate, and men- celebrate women; we are wonderful creatures :-)
