16 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD BE EXCITED FOR AUTUMN

1. Jumpers. Ahhhh cwtchy lovely oversized jumpers. All snuggly and cuddly and soft. 

2. The return of the apprentice. Now, let us all pray for another James Hill.

3. Halloween. Because creepy contact lenses and pumpkin carving. Not because Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress up as a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it. Ok, maybe a little. 

4. You can lay in for as long as you want in the morning without feeling guilty for missing those valuable sunbathing hours.

5. Stew. And hot chocolate. Especially hot chocolate with whipped cream. Also, chocolate stirrers. 

6. Forget striving for the unachievable beach body because you are now at perfect liberty to oh-go-on-then and eat that leftover mince pie because baggy jumpers (see number 1) are your new BFF.

7. Also, forget perfectly bronzed skin. Winter is coming and it is time to embrace the pale. Werk it girl. 

8. Burgundy. Oxblood. Bordeaux, the color not the french city. Maroon. Plum.

9. No longer having to worry if your toes aren't perfectly painted or that your anklet might clash with your shoes because ANKLE BOOTS.

10. If summer in the UK was like summer EVERYWHERE ELSE then now would be the time to talk about sweaty backs and sweaty faces and sweaty everything and how Autumn eradicates the whole sweat-fest problem. As it isn't, gloves. Specifically touch screen gloves.

11. The crackle of a roaring fire. Or you know, radiators and sound effects.  Same thing.

12. Mulled wine. The autumnal equivalent to vodka slush.

13. Dogs dive bombing piles of fallen leaves. Look how happy he is!



14. Bonfire night. Because even when you're 7th wheeling in the pissing down rain it's still incredibly cute. Oooh, ahhhh.

15. Movemeber(???). I think. Maybe. No? 

16. IT'S THE ULTIMATE PREDECESSOR TO CHRISTMAS!!
